PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

Since 2023, I have served as an Associate Professor of Education Administration and Management at Kabarak University, where I continue to provide academic leadership, research mentorship, and service to the institution and wider education community. In March 2024, I was appointed Coordinator for Quality Assurance (Online Programmes) at the University, a role in which I oversee the development and monitoring of academic quality systems to ensure excellence in digital learning delivery.

In February 2023, I took on two additional responsibilities: as a Member of the UNESCO Steering Committee, contributing to global dialogues on education policy and practice, and as the Academic Leader for the Postgraduate Diploma in Education, where I provide oversight in curriculum implementation and learner support. Between November 2021 and May 2023, I also served as Academic Leader for the Doctor of Philosophy and Master of Education Management and Leadership programmes in the School of Education, guiding postgraduate learners and ensuring academic rigor in programme delivery.

From January 2021 to May 2022, I held the position of Acting Director of the Directorate of Excellence in Learning and Teaching (DELT) at Kabarak University, spearheading initiatives to promote innovative pedagogy and improve teaching quality across the institution. Earlier, from May 2014 to May 2020, I was the Director of the Institute of Postgraduate Studies, where I was instrumental in strengthening postgraduate research capacity, enhancing supervision quality, and expanding the University’s postgraduate programmes.

Before my current role as Associate Professor, I served as a Senior Lecturer at Kabarak University from November 2016 to 2022, following my tenure as Lecturer from January 2012 to November 2016. During this period, I also briefly held the role of Acting Head of the Department of Education between September 2013 and January 2014, providing leadership in curriculum development and departmental coordination.

My career in academia was preceded by over seventeen years of service as a Teacher of English at Kabarak High School (1995–2012), where I not only taught English language and literature but also mentored learners and contributed to the school’s strong academic tradition.
