Rev. Justus Mutuku is an esteemed leader and ordained minister entrusted with the vital role of University Provost (Spiritual & Student Affairs) at Kabarak University. In this capacity, he oversees the spiritual and student welfare aspects of the institution, playing a pivotal role in fostering an environment conducive to holistic growth and development.

As the Ag. University Provost, Rev. Mutuku assumes the responsibilities of deputizing for the Vice-Chancellor in his absence, as well as for the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic & Finance), ensuring continuity and effective leadership in all facets of university operations.

With a profound dedication to his faith and calling, Rev. Mutuku brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his current role. A distinguished preacher of the gospel of Jesus Christ, he has faithfully served the African Inland Church Kenya as an ordained minister, exemplifying a deep commitment to spiritual guidance and mentorship.

Before his tenure at Kabarak University, Rev. Mutuku served as a youth and associate pastor at A.I.C. Milimani-Nairobi, where his dynamic leadership positively impacted the lives of congregants for over a decade. His passion for education and theological scholarship led him to engage in teaching roles at esteemed institutions such as Makueni Bible School and Africa International University (formerly NEGST) in Nairobi, where he imparted invaluable knowledge in Bible studies, theology, and pastoral care.

He also served as the Kabarak University Chaplain for ten years before being appointed as the acting provost in December 2023. Here, he was committed to fostering an environment of spiritual support for faculty, staff, and students at Kabarak University.

Rev. Mutuku's professional affiliations include membership in the Africa Society of Evangelical Theology (ASET), Bioethics Societies of Kenya (BSK), and the National Association of University and College Chaplains (NAUCC), reflecting his commitment to scholarly discourse and pastoral care within academic and religious communities.

His academic credentials underscore his dedication to lifelong learning and intellectual pursuit. Rev. Mutuku holds a Master of Divinity in Theological Studies from Africa International University (Kenya), a Master of Arts in Bioethics from Trinity International University (USA), a Bachelor of Theology from Kenya Methodist University (Kenya) and a diploma in Bible and Theology from Moffat College of the Bible (Kenya). Additionally, his diverse educational background includes a Certificate in Laboratory Technician from Kenya Polytechnic (Kenya), demonstrating a multifaceted approach to personal and professional development.
