 Profile Summary

Professor of Information Technology and Director of Open, Distance and e-Learning (ODeL) at Kabarak University (KABU) — the first institution in Kenya accredited by the Commission for University Education (CUE) to offer fully online programmes. With over 20 years’ experience in ICT and higher education, spanning roles as computer instructor, technical institute lecturer, university professor, ICT researcher, and administrator.

A seasoned academician and consultant in IT security, audit, and digital pedagogy, with a strong record in curriculum innovation, ODeL policy frameworks, and technology-enabled learning. Research contributions include the design and development of:

  • Smart water meter using Zigbee technology
  • Driver road safety index model to curb road carnage in Kenya
  • Risk exposure index for SMEs in Kenya
  • Threat matrix for smart devices in campus LANs
  • Adoptability model for digital evidence
  • Lecturers’ workload monitoring system
