Major Duties and Responsibilities.

  • Designing, Developing, Coordinating and directing all web applications and website related activities in the University.
  • Researching new trends and optimization tactics across all university's digital platforms (websites and social media).
  • Improve the Universities visibility in the website and web ranking both nationally and globally.
  • Ensuring that the web servers, hardware and software are operating correctly and accurately.
  • Responsible for the regulation and management of access rights of different users on University's web systems.
  • Manange content to be placed on the website and how the site content is delivered to the public.
  • Responsible for generating and revising web-pages.
  • Develop and maintain suitable tools for the preparation of statistics and reports as may be required from time to time by the University;

  • Providing support and administration of the University’s Management systems - UNIPLUS.
  • Performing daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of ofall hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs.
  • Upgrading and configuring system software that supports the network infrastructure applications and the University Management applications per project or operational needs.

  • Providing and executing facility reports, scripts and/or queries where necessary.

    1. Since joining Kabarak University, my role as the University Webmaster has been instrumental in advancing the institution's digital transformation.       • Integrated university web systems with essential platforms, including student portals and e-learning systems.
      3. Corporate Communications & Digital Marketing
      • Manage and oversee digital marketing and advertisement campaigns for all our academic programmes, leveraging analytics for optimized engagement.
      • Oversee all university social media handles:
        • Took over in 2022 when:
          • Instagram had less than 1K followers, now at 7K+.
          • Twitter (X) had 1K followers, now over 7K.
          • Facebook had 18K, now at 88K.
          • YouTube had fewer than 200 subscribers, but now at 3,500+.
          • The University WhatsApp Channel I created in 2023 now has a verified blue tick and a massive following of 190K+.
          • TikTok (created in 2023) now has 10K+ followers.

      • To date, I have successfully published 30 editions of the eNewsletter, making it a reliable and consistent communication and marketing channel for the university.
